Nursing Simulation and Skills Lab Tour
Atlantic Cape Community College’s Nursing Program features a state-of-the-art Simulation and Skills Lab at its Mays Landing campus that provides students with a real-life functioning hospital environment that helps them achieve the experience and knowledge required to serve their community’s health care needs upon graduation.
Simulation is a vital component of health care education and our lab includes 17 hospital beds complete with life-like mannequins that are programmed to exhibit the symptoms that would be found in patients of all ages in a real hospital room.
Students receive hands-on clinical training with high-tech simulation software like LLEAP and SimCapture that enhances learning while providing informative feedback to both students and faculty. This technology allows the nursing student to gain confidence while sharpening their clinical judgment and bedside care skills.
