Changes to Federal Student Loan Programs Coming Fall 2026
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OB3/OBBBA) was passed on July 4, 2025 and will impact certain Federal Student Aid programs including federal loan awards and limits. Changes resulting from this legislation took effect on July 1, 2026 and will affect financial aid packages starting in Fall 2026.
Please note that current students and parents will not see any changes to their federal loans or grants for the 2025-2026 academic year.
