Applying to Atlantic Cape’s Nursing Program is the first step toward building a rewarding career in healthcare. Whether you’re just beginning your college journey or continuing your studies, this process is designed to guide you from admission to application with clear, supportive steps. Follow each stage carefully to ensure your application is complete and ready for review.

Note: The Fall 2027 Nursing Program Application opens March 1, 2027.
The deadline to apply for the Nursing program is 
June 1, 2027.

Atlantic Cape offers multiple programs and pathways into the healthcare industry. Attend an infosession to familiarize yourself with the programs and prerequisites.

All programs require admission to Atlantic Cape and may require a separate program application and documentation. 

Atlantic and Cape May County residents are given priority consideration. Residents of other counties will be considered only if all seats cannot be filled with qualified Atlantic and Cape May County students.

Step 2: Confirm that you meet prerequisites
All applicants must meet the nursing program requirements by the June 1, 2027 deadline.

Required Documentation:

  • Must have grades of C or better with a minimum GPA of 3.0 for these prerequisite courses: 
    • BIOL  220 (formerly, BIOL120 and must have been taken within the last 10 years)
    • ENGL 101
    • PSYC 101
    • SOCL 101
      • If you did not complete these classes at Atlantic Cape, you must provide an official transcript.  Please submit your official transcripts to transcripts@atlanticcape.edu.
  • An overall undergraduate GPA of 2.5
  • A copy of your  ATI TEAS with a score of 63.0 or higher and must have been taken with the last 3 years
  • A copy of NJ Driver's License or NJ Non-Driver's Photo ID
    • The address must match your application.  If your address has changed, update it through  NJ MVC.
  • Proof of high school completion

Note: Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) currently licensed in the State of New Jersey, who qualify for admission, may be eligible for advanced placement. LPNs also must have grade of C or better in BIOL 221 for consideration. For more information, please read through our selection process for the nursing program. If you applied for the 2026 RN cohort, decision notifications will be sent by the end of June.
