Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33)

If you served on active duty after September 10, 2001, you may qualify for educational benefits under the Post-9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33).

What It Covers

  • Full or partial tuition and fees (paid directly to Atlantic Cape)
  • Monthly housing allowance (MHA)
  • Annual book and supply stipend (up to $1,000)
  • Transfer of unused benefits to a spouse or child (if eligible)

Eligibility is based on the length of your active-duty service. Generally, you must have served at least 90 days, with full benefits available after 36 months of service or if discharged due to a service-connected disability after 30 days.

All students must complete a Atlantic Cape Transmittal Form each semester. If you believe you may qualify, obtain a transmittal form from the Financial Aid Office at (609) 343-5129 or (609) 463-4774, ext. 5082, e-mail finaid@atlanticcape.edu or call the Veterans Administration Regional Office at 1-800-827-1000.
