MAYS LANDING — Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers freshmen student–athletes Rainelle Blocker, Isaac Fishman and Daymeon Hallock were recognized by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) for their on-court prowess and accomplishments during their respective 2025–26 athletics seasons.

Rainelle Blocker lays up a shot in the NJCAA playoffsBlocker, a freshman women’s basketball student–athlete and culinary major from Clayton, NJ, was named an NJCAA All–American honorable mention recipient. Blocker was also recently named the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Year, while also being named to the All–GSAC First Team and All–Region 19 First Team. Blocker helped lead the Buccaneers women to their first semi–final playoff appearance while averaging 25 points, 11 rebounds and four assists per game. She also finished 2nd in the nation as a freshman in points and steals.

“From the moment Rainelle stepped into the gym, she carried an unmatched presence. After her first practice, I told her she had the potential to be the best player in college basketball if she committed to the work and she’s done exactly that. From All–American, Player of the Year, 1st Team all–GSAC and 1st Team All–Region 19, I told her she would do it,” said Head Coach Ricky White, Jr. “Rainelle is a coach’s dream. She is disciplined, hardworking and versatile enough to play every position on the court. More importantly, she’s a true team player. She’s the backbone of this team and has the ability to take Atlantic Cape to heights the women’s program has never reached before.”

Men's volleyball student-athlete Isaac FishmanFishman, a freshman men’s volleyball student–athlete and health sciences major from Hammonton, NJ, was named to the All–GSAC First Team and All–Region 19 First Team. Fishman finished his season ranked 6th in solo blocks (24), 7th in total attacks (559), 7th in points (267.0) and 9th in digs (192).

“Isaac consistently gave 100% to this team in both practices and games. Despite facing significant medical challenges and enduring daily pain that most of us can’t imagine, Isaac did not let that hinder his commitment this year. His resilience and dedication set a powerful example for our entire team,” said Head Coach Karla Maisto.

Men's volleyball student-athlete Daymeon HallockHallock, a freshman men’s volleyball student–athlete and general studies major from Mays Landing, NJ, was named to the All–GSAC Second Team and All–Region 19 Second Team. Hallock finished his season ranked 2nd in digs (240), 3rd in solo blocks (30), 4th in points (295.5), 7th in total blocks (63), 7th in service aces (41), 7th in total service attempts (366), 8th in digs per set (2.89), 8th in total attacks (545) and 9th in kills (208).

“Most middle hitters never see the back court, but Daymeon was a six-rotation player for us this entire year. It is a testament to his high-energy and gritty, agile defense. Couple this with his presence at the net and ability to OT any opponent, and it's easy to see how well-deserved these honors truly are,” said Maisto.
