MAYS LANDING — Atlantic Cape Community College’s student-run gourmet restaurant, Carême’s, located on the Mays Landing campus will once again be cooking and serving a delicious dinner menu complete with appetizers, soups, entrees and desserts beginning Wednesday, October 15.
Chef Joshua Romano, an Academy of Culinary Arts (ACA) program alumnus and chef/owner of Café Loren in Avalon, will be running this Fall Semester’s kitchen class during dinner, while long-time ACA adjunct professor Paula Carlson will be overseeing the service side.
This semester’s dinner menu includes appetizers from sweet potato bisque and shrimp & grits to an autumn harvest salad. Guests may choose the Carême’s Complete Dinner for $28.95 that features a choice of an appetizer, main dish and dessert. Main courses include a house rubbed grilled salmon fillet, brown butter barbecue short rib, country fried chicken and pimento pasta. For dessert, guests may choose between a blueberry lemon cake and pecan pie bars. All gratuities received help fund scholarships for ACA students.
While they are not required, reservations are strongly encouraged and are accepted Monday through Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. through Monday, November 24 by calling (609) 343-4940 or by emailing Carême’s at caremes@atlanticcape.edu.
Carême’s popular lunch buffet will return on Wednesday, November 5 and run Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. through Monday, December 15. Chef Carl Colucci will once again be instructing students in the kitchen, while the dining room classes will be taught by Carlson and Thomas Burns. Lunch is available for $13.95 per person plus tax. Reservations are also strongly encouraged for lunch as well.
