Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Chapter, Alpha Delta Mu, Inducts 19 New Members; Announce All-State Academic Team Members

MAYS LANDING — Atlantic Cape Community College’s Alpha Delta Mu chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) International Honor Society officially swore in its 2024-25 inductee class during its 47th Annual Induction Ceremony on Friday, March 28 in Walter E. Edge Hall Theater on the Mays Landing campus.

You have set the bar high, not only for your peers, but also for the future academic community. Through your accomplishments, you embody the core values of PTK.”

PTK New Jersey President Briana Ebie, a student at Rowan College of South Jersey and member of Alpha Ps Pi, applauded those being honored on this evening.

You have worked tirelessly balancing course work, responsibilities and challenges, yet you continue to push forward, serving as role models for the rest of us,” said Ebie. “Your dedication, resilience and excellence shine bright. Your presence here tonight is not just a recognition of your past achievements, but it also services as a promise of the great potential inside all of you.”

Dedicating themselves to the PTK’s platform of scholarship, leadership, fellowship and service, the 19 newly-inducted members were each called to the theater’s stage by PTK Advisor Dr. Raymond Keller where they signed the honor society’s membership book, and were given a symbolic flower and candle.

PTK members inducted pose for photo on stageThis year’s newly-inducted members include: Deanna Aponte, Tina Austin, Victoria Bollo, Rayna Brusiewski, Taylor Camp, Mark Dagrosa, Daneiel Fairclough, Mia Gonzalez Leonor, Shiminkea Hospedales, Daniel Mulraney, Chaunice Murphy, Roman Segov, Masmin Simran, Vijay Singh, Britney Thomas, Caelan Watts, Mishael McFarlane, Briana Perez and Jade Phomsouvanh.

Officers that were officially sworn in by Dr. Keller included President Mulraney, Vice-President of Fellowship Perez, Vice-President of Scholarship Priya Momi and Vice-President of Service Segov.

Dr. Keller announced that students Daniel Mulraney and Roman Segov have been named to the 2025 New Jersey All-State Academic Team for their academic achievements, leadership and service. Mulraney and Segov will be recognized later this April at the New Jersey Community College Leadership Summit at Brookdale Community College.

Dr. Raymond Keller with PTK officersDr. Keller also announced that student Het Parekh was selected as a 2025 New Century Workforce Scholar. Out of more than 2,100 applications, which were judged on academic achievement, leadership, service and other significant endeavors, Parekh’s received the highest score in the State of New Jersey.

For more than 100 years, Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society has recognized students’ community college academic success and given them opportunities to develop professional and leadership skills, earn scholarships, explore career paths and make their world larger. PTK also strives to provide community and campus service.

Atlantic Cape has three national honor societies on its campus and a competitive honors program for students who seek a more intensive and challenging learning environment.
