MAYS LANDING — Participants to this year’s 43rd Annual Atlantic Cape Community College Restaurant Gala’s Groovin’ at the Gala 1970’s-themed event will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the 50/50 cash raffle and five exciting exclusive dining experience packages.

The 50/50 cash raffle tickets are available for $100 per ticket. Only 300 tickets are available for purchase. The first-place winner is entitled to 30% of total ticket sales while the second-place and third-place winners earn 15% and 5% of total sales, respectively.

New to this year’s Gala are exciting exclusive dining experience raffle tickets that are available for $50 per ticket. Only 500 tickets are available for purchase. Each experience is good for up to eight guests. Winners of the five dining experience raffle drawings will be selected at random. Your purchased raffle ticket is not exclusive to one specific dining experience package.

  • #1: B. Prime Steakhouse at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa ($1,000 value)
  • #2: Chez Frites at Ocean Casino Resort ($1,000 value)
  • #3: Vic & Anthony's Steakhouse at Golden Nugget Atlantic City ($1,000 value)
  • #4: Kuro at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City ($1,000 value)
  • #5: 1906 at Longwood Gardens (donated by Restaurant Associates, includes admission for eight to Longwood Gardens and limousine transportation donated by Joe's AC Limo) ($3,000 value)

Both raffle drawings will be conducted during the Restaurant Gala and winners need not be present at the drawing. Your ticket not only gives you a chance to win cash and dining experience prizes — it directly supports an emergency fund for students attending Atlantic Cape, regardless of program of study. This fund is crucial to supporting students who encounter unexpected financial emergencies, so they may continue their studies.

Purchase tickets in person by check (made payable to the Atlantic Cape Foundation), cash or credit card at the Mays Landing campus (J-Building, President's Office) or Cape May County campus (3rd Floor Advancement Office). Credit card purchases are only available by calling (609) 463-3651.

The Annual Restaurant Gala, which is highly-regarded as the premier food and beverage fundraising event in the Atlantic City area, annually attracts 1,000 community and business leaders, government officials, food enthusiasts and friends of the college. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, March 12, 6-9:30 p.m. at the Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center in Atlantic City. A lavish cocktail reception featuring hors d’oeuvres prepared by the students of the Academy of Culinary Arts will kick-off the evening at 6 p.m. A formal dinner will follow at 7 p.m. in the ballroom complete with sample signature dishes, desserts and some of the finest libations from more than 50 South Jersey establishments. A 50/50 raffle drawing, five destination experience raffles, open bar, photo booth and live musical entertainment will round out the evening’s festivities.

The evening’s Groovin’ at the Gala theme will throwback it back to the fun and funky spirit of the 1970’s complete with the glamour of disco nightlife, lava lamps, bohemian energy, bright fashion patterns, bell bottoms and unique food flavors. This year’s event will recognize Community Honoree Gary Musich, President and CEO, Visit Atlantic City and Academy of Culinary Arts Honoree Chef Giancarlo Generosi ’99, Executive Chef, Bally’s Atlantic City.

Since its inception in 1984, the Restaurant Gala has raised more than $4.6 million for scholarships benefiting students attending the Academy of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management programs, a student emergency fund and Atlantic Cape Community College Foundation operations. We are grateful for every contribution that helps the ACA provide quality educational and training opportunities, and ensures the continued success of our students.
