MAYS LANDING – Atlantic Cape Community College’s Art Gallery is hosting Shelter Stories, an exhibit featuring the inspired creative works of numerous local artists depicting shelter and rescue animals, who are patiently waiting for a loving family to call their own and those who fortunately have found their forever home as well.
This exhibit runs from August 3 through September 17. An opening reception will be held on Monday, August 3, 5 –6:30 p.m. in the Art Gallery.
“August is Clear the Shelter Month. We hope with this exhibit to help a life waiting for a second chance. Half of the art works in this exhibit are of dogs and cats in need of a loving home while the other are those who found a home. Our hope is that visitors leave not only moved by the artwork, but inspired to consider adoption themselves, possibly one featured on the gallery walls,” said Atlantic Cape Library Aide and Art Gallery Coordinator Mary Nghiem.
The Atlantic Cape Art Gallery is open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and closed Friday through Sunday. The Art Gallery is located on the Mays Landing campus on the second floor of the William Spangler Library D–Building.
