Clemente GroupAtlantic Cape is proud to offer The Clemente Course in the Humanities. This FREE college course explores themes of war and its cultural impact through art, history, literature and philosophy.

Students will examine the Ancient Greeks and Romans, the American Revolutionary and Civil wars, World War I & II, and the Vietnam War. Questions, such as “Who Writes the History after the War?” “What’s in a Name (Military Monikers)?” “What Can Ancient War Tell Us About Ourselves?” “What Is a Just War?” and “How Do Monuments Create Public Memory of a Battle?” will be explored in this course.

Open to all veterans regardless of discharge status. The course includes field trips and guest speakers; all materials are provided. GED is not required; does not utilize VA Education benefits.
