Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence
Our nursing program has been training Registered Nurses for over 50 years with both theoretical and clinical classes that give graduates the confidence and skills they need to provide excellent care to patients in diverse settings.
The demand for quality nurses is high and ours enter the workforce making a good living while helping others. Nurses are the backbone of our ever-changing health care system, and Atlantic Cape RNs are simply the best around. Our Nursing graduates have made a tremendous impact in our community and many are leaders in their field. They are at regional hospitals, long term health care facilities, urgent care centers, and so many other locations in South Jersey and beyond.

Meet Gwendeline
Gwendeline, a licensed LPN and mother of four never gave up on her dream of becoming a registered nurse. Once her youngest child could attend school, she returned to Atlantic Cape and earned her degree. She now continues her education and is attending Rutgers to obtain her bachelor’s in nursing.

Available Degree Programs
Associate in Applied Science
Nursing Program
Prepares students for first-level positions as Registered Nurses through general and clinical courses; including working in healthcare facilities. After completion, students can take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for their RN Licensure.
Associate in Science
Health Science
Health Science A.S. covers the prerequisites for the Nursing A.A.S. and Radiology A.A.S. degrees and prepares students to transfer into a baccalaureate degree in a healthcare specialty; such as Health Administration, Public Health, and post-RN nursing degrees.
Associate in Applied Science
Radiologic Technology
Prepares students for the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification exam, which also requires an associate degree from an accredited institution in order to take the exam.

Associate in Applied Science
Medical Laboratory Technician
Learn to perform diagnostic laboratory tests on medical specimens which provide information used to diagnose health and disease. Prepares students for the national ASCP certification exam.

Associate in Applied Science
Respiratory Care Program
Learn about respiratory conditions including diagnostic testing, patient care, monitoring, rehabilitation and specialized methods of treatment. Prepares students for the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) exam.

Health Information Technology
The program teaches students to gather, compute, interpret and analyze, and monitor healthcare statistics of patients. Prepares students to take the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification exam.

Practical Nursing (PN) Certificate Program
Practical Nurses can be a part of a growing and rewarding industry providing basic patient care, and supporting doctors and RNs with their patients.
Earn your certificate within 18 months. Upon program completion you will be eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN exam and enter the workforce. If graduates wish to continue their nursing studies they can apply to a LPN-to-RN program right here at Atlantic Cape or at any other institution.
