"When I first started as a student, I'd never have expected to be able to get done my associate degree, much less a doctorate some day..."

How long have you been an employee at Atlantic Cape?

Nine months (as of December 2025).

What is your fondest Atlantic Cape memory?

My fondest memory was getting a C- on my first paper in Professor Keith Forrest's News Writing class. It lit a fire under me and pushed me to do better!

Who has helped you the most during your time at Atlantic Cape?

Definitely the community and the collaborative culture that runs throughout the school. Plus, having my wonderful girlfriend (Lauren Pavlis, Senior Storeroom Clerk) work here as well is always a plus!

Tell us about your educational journey and what it has meant to you.

When I first started as a student, I'd never have expected to be able to get done my associate's, much less a doctorate's some day. I faced a lot of challenges while attending Atlantic Cape - including a gap year - and every step of the way the school's faculty and administrators helped support me to the finish line!

Did you take classes and/or earn a degree from Atlantic Cape?

Yes. I graduated from Atlantic Cape in 2011 with my Associate Degree in Communication.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

I find working with students, visiting schools and helping with career exploration events to be the most rewarding.
