MAYS LANDING — Atlantic Cape Community College held a grand opening ceremony for its Campus Closet at the Mays Landing campus on Monday, February 13 with faculty, staff and students in attendance.
The Campus Closet was recently created to provide clothing and shoes to students currently enrolled at Atlantic Cape who may be in need of casual business attire for professional interviews, class presentations, events and various college-related activities.
Hospitality Management Club Advisor and Professor Jeanine DiNardo is overseeing this initiative and she credited Atlantic Cape’s Senior VP of Academic Affairs Dr. Josette Katz who “went out of her way to get this space for us.” DiNardo stated that the Campus Closet has a steamer and will soon have an iron and ironing board to ensure that the clothes that are selected by the students are neatly pressed for interviews and formal outings.
The Campus Closet is accepting donations at all three Atlantic Cape campuses for gently-used men’s and women’s casual business attire. Donations may be dropped off at the public safety (security) building on the Mays Landing campus, room W217 at the Worthington Atlantic City campus and at the information desk at the Cape May County campus. Sizes available for male and female students range from XS to 3XL.
Hours of operation during the Spring 2023 semester are Monday’s 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. and Wednesday’s 12-1 and 5-7 p.m.
For more information on how and where to donate, contact The Campus Closet at thecampuscloset@atlanticcape.edu.
