The Atlantic Cape Community College Board of Trustees conducted their monthly meeting on Tuesday, August 24, at the Mays Landing campus. The Board approved the following actions:
Grants Activity
- The acceptance of a grant of $4 million from the NJ Office of the Secretary of Higher Education (OSHE) for the Securing Our Children’s Future Bond Act – County College Career and Technical Education Program Expansion Grant program, with a 25% match of the cost of the project from non-state sources which the Atlantic County Board of Commissioners pledged to provide in the amount of $1,330,000, in order to construct and/or expand classrooms, laboratories, libraries, computer facilities, and other academic structures to increase Career and Technical Education (CTE) program capacity, with a grant term of approximately July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2025.
- The submission of an application to the National Science Foundation, Advanced Technological Education (ATE) Program, for a competitive grant to develop education of technicians for the high technology fields that drive our nation's economy, and, if awarded, to accept up to $600,000 over the grant term of three years (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2025).
- The submission of an application to the National Science Foundation, Advanced Technological Education (ATE) Program, for a competitive grant to develop a new Associate in Applied Science Degree designed to meet the entry requirements into the Federal Aviation Administration’s Technical Operations Collegiate Training Initiative, and, if awarded, to accept up to $600,000 over the grant term of three years (July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2025).
- The Memorandum of Understanding with NJCCC and the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education for the implementation of the College Readiness Now VIII Project, with a grant award of $38,340 and a grant term of July 1, 2021 – June 30, 2022.
