The Atlantic Cape Community College Board of Trustees conducted their monthly meeting on Tuesday, September 24 at the Mays Landing campus. The following motions were presented:
In Contracts and Purchases, the Board approved:
- Bid Ex. 837 Cape May Campus Fire Detection System, Johnson Controls/SimplexGrinnell, Horsham, PA, $342,600.00, Chapter 12 funds.
- OQ169 STEM Building Boiler Stack replacement, Falasca Mechanical, Vineland, NJ, $22,800.00, Chapter 12 funds.
- RQ2207 Desk Phones, all campuses, Oakdale Communications, Englishtown, NJ, $24,998.00 , Chapter 12 funds.
In Personnel Matters, the Board approved:
- The appointment of Brian Birch, Senior Manager, Financial Aid retroactive to September 3, 2019.
- The appointment of Natalie Devonish, Dean, Worthington Atlantic City Campus and Workforce Development effective September 25, 2019.
- The appointment of Michele Trageser, Executive Director, Human Resources, effective November 11, 2019.
- The promotion of Carol Melkonian, Assistant Director, Purchasing, effective October 1, 2019.
- The reclassification of Michael McHale from Maintenance Mechanic II, Facilities to Journeyman, Facilities, effective September 25, 2019.
- The title change of Donna Vassallo, from Dean, Worthington Atlantic City Campus/Dean Career Education and Workforce Development to Dean, Professional Studies, High School Initiatives and Internships, effective September 25, 2019.
- The retirement of Chef Daniel Matt, Chef Educator, Academy of Culinary Arts, since August 24, 1987, effective February 1, 2020.
In Financial Matters, the Board approved:
- FY19 Draft Financial Statement for twelve months ended June 30, 2019 as of September 9, 2019.
- FY20 Financial Statement for the two months ended August 31, 2019.
In Grants, the Board approved:
- Entering into a Memorandum of Understanding with NJCCC and the Office of the Secretary of Higher Education for the implementation of the College Readiness Now VI Project, with a grant award of $37,304 and a grant term of September 2019 – June 30, 2020.
In Other Business, the Board:
- Approved changes to the Board of Trustees bylaws.
- Approved changes to Policy No. 307, Graphic Design/Production Services.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees is scheduled for Tuesday, October 22 at 6 p.m. on the Atlantic City Worthington campus.
