New Jersey's Unemployment Compensation Law sets up a program for the payment of cash benefits to cover workers who have lost their jobs through circumstances beyond their control or are working less than full-time because of a lack of full-time work.
All employees and the college contribute to the New Jersey Unemployment Compensation Plan.
Eligibility for unemployment benefits is determined by the local unemployment office.
