Vacation

Vacation accrual for any particular month is credited if an employee is in pay status for at least half the scheduled workdays of that month.

Employees must take vacation at a time mutually acceptable to the employee and the supervisor. Vacation pay in lieu of vacation time will not be paid unless the employee is terminating employment. Except in extraordinary circumstances vacation must be requested in advance of the day of leave utilizing employee self-service.

Upon separation of employment, the employee’s final pay will include days of unused vacation in accordance with the appropriate bargaining unit agreement. Employees failing to provide the required notice of separation will not be eligible for accrued vacation payment.
