Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990/Rehabilitation Act of 1973---Compliance


In order to comply with current ADA laws, the College has three ADA/504 Coordinators who oversee particular areas and populations of the College.

The Executive Director of Human Resources shall have responsibility for monitoring institutional compliance for employees of the College including training of staff on general matters related to the ADA.

The Vice President, Student Affairs is the College’s ADA/504 Coordinator and shall have oversight of the  monitoring the institutional compliance of the Center for Accessibility (CFA) including training in the use of assistive technology and accommodations in accordance with the accessible technology policy as well as the 504 Coordinator.

The Chief Business Officer shall have responsibility for monitoring institutional compliance for physical plant accessibility.

The ADA/504 Coordinators shall, in consultation with senior management and legal counsel, develop a grievance procedure, conduct a comprehensive self-evaluation, and develop both the self-evaluation report and transition plan as required by the ADA.

The ADA/504 Coordinator, in consultation with senior management and legal counsel, shall devise and implement a program for training supervisors, faculty, and the administration on the ADA.
